I joined the 1st Battalion The Staffordshire Regiment (POW’s) in February 1994 while the Battalion was serving in Northern Ireland and have been with the Regiment in its many guises for the last 24 years.

 

I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress 20 years ago and I have tread the same ground as a lot of people who have suffered from anxiety, anger, under confidence, frustration and depression.

I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and work with clients across a very broad spectrum including Post Traumatic Stress and Anxiety.

For the last 7 years, I have been assigned to the Personnel Recovery Unit in Aldershot and later in Nottingham as a Personal Recovery Officer supporting soldiers with their recovery and transition from the Armed Forces. For most of my adult life I have been encouraging people to grow and understand more about themselves.

I have a diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling, Professional Diploma in Psychotherapy and an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling using Neuro Linguistics and Cognitive Behaviour as part of my practice.
